Fashion, Philosophy and the Pursuit of Enlightenment

Born in Japan, Anne Moss moved to California at the age of nine without speaking a word of English. She went on to attend Yale University, where she majored in philosophy, before moving to New York City to study at the Fashion Institute of Technology.

Her interest in fashion soon developed into a career in design and visual merchandising. Together with her husband Ken, she worked on visual merchandising projects for major retailers, including Bloomingdale’s and Victoria’s Secret.

Since then, Anne has led a decidedly unconventional life, spending extended periods traveling and living across Asia, Europe, and the United States. Her experiences have taken her far beyond the worlds of fashion and design, but her fascination with beauty, philosophy, and the search for meaning has remained a constant.
